AI trip planner
PanaBooking
PanaBooking turns a loose travel idea into a plan you can trust. You describe the trip in a conversation, it researches destinations, stays and travel with dated sources, and keeps the whole plan in one place. We designed and built it as a flight, from the gate to arrival.
01the brief
From daydream to a plan you can check
Planning a trip usually means a dozen open tabs, blog posts of uncertain age and prices that change by the hour. PanaBooking set out to replace that with one conversation: say what you are dreaming of, and get options you can actually verify. Two things mattered from the start. The product had to feel like the beginning of a holiday rather than a form, and it had to be honest about what an AI planner can promise: every suggestion needs a source, prices are indicative, and the booking itself always happens with the supplier. It also needed a fair way to pay for AI research without forcing anyone into a subscription.
02the approach
The whole site is a flight
We built the journey around air travel. The hero changes destination as you watch, and its headline says “let’s go” in another language each time: vámonos over the Costa Blanca, allons-y over Nice. Your trip idea goes into a boarding pass. Further down, a departures board suggests where to fly next, a camera viewfinder lets you picture the trip through filters, and the planning steps are flown across a vintage map, each leg stamped as it lands. Saved plans look like passport pages, and a small in-flight radio plays in the corner.
Behind the scenery, the planner works in one conversation. It saves dates, travellers, budget and interests as a brief, runs research that shows its sources as they arrive, and compares stays and travel side by side. Every version of a trip stays with its research history. Instead of a subscription there are pay-as-you-go planning credits: the cost shows before each task, credits are held while it runs and returned if it fails, and checkout runs through Stripe. Pages are rendered for search engines, and the site publishes an llms.txt file and Markdown versions of key pages so AI assistants describe it accurately.
